Business Networks International Inc (BNETAL) has been awarded
a contract for application architecture and expert security
consulting services to the Minnesota Department of Health
(MDH).
About Minnesota Department of Health (MDH):
Minnesota's public health system is known as one of the
best in the nation, and a core value of the Minnesota Department
of Health (MDH) is collaboration. The MN Public Health Laboratory
(PHL) within MDH collaborates with a variety of program
partners to detect, investigate, prevent, and control public
health threats. The MDH PHL IT staff has developed the first
version of OpenELIS, an Enterprise Laboratory Information
System. OpenELIS is designed and developed through the collaborative
efforts of Public Health Laboratories to accommodate business
processes that are common to all public health laboratories;
encompassing clinical, environmental, newborn screening,
and animal testing. The goal of the OpenELIS team is to
develop an economically sustainable system that meets the
requirements of Public Health Laboratories, and create an
open source community for future enhancements and increased
functionality.
