Atlanta
GA, October 27 2004:
Business
Networks International Inc. an Atlanta based security consulting
firm announced that ManageSecure® is fully compliant
with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC's)
Public Health Information Network (PHIN) security standards.
This is the first solution in the market that provides fully
integrated support for the PHIN security standards.
ManageSecure®
uses the SAML standards to implement single-signon to web
resources. It provides out of the box support for two-factor
authentication, single sign-on, role based access control,
identity management, PKI management and security resource
management.
The
PHIN Messaging System (PHINMS) has been tested and certified
with ManageSecure® single sign-on. The NEDSS Base System
(NBS) can be secured using the strong two-factor authentication
layer provided by ManageSecure®. Further, public health
partners can now use the PKI management functions in ManageSecure®
to implement a public key infrastructure. Using ManageSecure®
as a security component provides a security layer not just
for the PHIN components - this layer can be shared with
other software components as well.
State
and local health departments that deploy CDC PHIN software
can now secure the access to PHIN software using this fully
PHIN compliant security solution, reducing implementation
time and complexity, improving security and interoperability.
